Listening, imagining and embodying a story invites the child to enter into the world of make-believe. By incorporating each child's ideas and individual personality, we will experience unique and exciting adventures together virtually! Shared with family and friends, this will create lasting and precious memories from the comfort of your own home.
Contact Aly if you would like to discuss artwork for your party.
Our Live Stream Summer Term is now available through 15th July.
Live Stream Classes
We understand that not everyone will be familiar with live streaming classes or online conference calls. Here are some tips on how to transition smoothly from our in-person classes to our online classes.
You'll have to sign up here to Zoom on your mobile device or on your desktop/laptop. Sign up to the free plan as a basic user so you can join meetings.
Our classes will need to be book your session HERE.
All classes need to be booked 15 minutes before a session.
You will receive an email at least 15 minutes before the start of your class. If this it your first session with us, we encourage you to join in early. The class will not begin until the teacher arrives, but it is worth checking your connection in advance.
Join the call 5-10 minutes before the class starts. We like to keep the class running smoothly and late joiners can often cause a distruption to the class.
If you have not received an email confirmation stating you've booked a class or you haven't received our pre-class email with the "join in" link, check your spam/junk mail folder. Any concerns, contact Aly in advance.
Please note: we do not offer refunds for late attendance or missed attendance.
Once you've joined the call, please make sure your microphone and video are turned off. This will lessen the distraction in the session's feed for everyone. We have the the call settings set to mute participants and turn off video, just to ensure there your camera won't unexpectedly turn on.
Just in case you need to manually do this, here's how:
On your computer select “mute” & “stop video” at the bottom of your screen.
On the app tap the bottom of the screen and select “mute” & “stop video”.
There will be a lot of options for different movements. Please have these ready before the class begins. Here are a few props you could use throughout our sessions:
Blanket or sheet: as an alternative to our sarees
Tea towls or scarves: as an alternative to our sheer scarves
At the end of the class, the teacher will end the call so you won't have to do anything. Just keep on dancing and have a wonderful day!
Thank you for your interest in our new live stream classes and for your support in our teachers during this time. We understand this this kind of session is different to those we run in-person, but during these trying times, live streaming is opening up a wonderful opportunity for us to engage creatively in a new way.
If there are any technical issues, please bear with us as we sort them out. Also, please share any contructive feedback about these sessions as we continue to trial new ways to make these online classes even better.
See you all in our next virtual make-believe adventure!
