At Creative Movements, we believe in the power of creativity to bring communities together.
Our journey began with a simple idea: to create a space where a child’s artistic expression thrives and connections are made in a fun and safe educational environment.
OUR TEACHERS
Our teachers come from diverse backgrounds - dancers, professionals, actors, drama therapists, art therapists, experienced teachers, child carers, and mums.
We are all passionate about working with children, especially to develop their creativity and imagination.
We value the power of storytelling to portray ethics and morals, which the children bring to life through role-play and movement.
Using the Creative Movements method, each teacher brings their own personal strengths to their classes, thereby keeping the sessions authentic.
Our franchisees and teachers are DBS checked and hold basic first aid certificates.
OUR COMMUNITY
Our community is made up of franchisees and teachers, parents, children, schools and nurseries.
Parents have the choice to watch their child in a session.
The children are encouraged to grow in confidence and independence at their own pace but we like to keep our doors open and parties relaxed, encouraging parents to be a part of their child’s Creative Movements experience.
As our community grows, we will look to expand our business with franchises in London and around the UK. If you are keen to have your own franchise, you will find the work is incredibly rewarding. Watch this space!
I consider myself a rather unusual person with diverse interests, beliefs, attitudes, ethics, and passions! I lead a truly active, hard-working life as my own boss with my own little edu/fun business of workshops/classes and parties for young children at a range of schools, nurseries, and private and funded events. At these I perform personally, using my passions for the arts, including music, dance, drama, and art, to captivate my little people participants.
Indeed, these performing/visual arts are, I believe, the very best mediums through which to seriously educate our children in a creative, long-term, and happy way. Education must also be about enjoyment and getting to know oneself!
I have an Advanced Diploma/Degree in the Therapeutic & Educational Application of the Arts. The Diploma course is complete in itself. However, it also leads on to the Masters Degree or Diploma course in Integrative Arts Psychotherapy and the Masters Degree or Diploma course in Integrative Child Psychotherapy.
The course designed to enable you to tap into your own creativity in order to reach a deeper level of connection with yourself and others; to appreciate the potential of the human imagination per se; to develop knowledge and understanding of the nature of the inner world, of dreams and the many different forms and uses of human imagery. When working with children these are some fundimental attributes.
I also have exprience with children of all ages and capabilites, having been an assistant Speech and Language Therapist, assisting with occupational therapy, and an art teacher for many years at a school for chldren with specific learning difficulties.
And finally, a qualification Diploma from Quest Business College (Incorporating Queen’s, St James’s and Lucy Clayton) turns out to be a great help in running this special company.
I honestly feel Creative Movements is truely unique exprience, offering so much to your child to meet their individual potential.
If you have any further questions or need more information, please do to get in touch to find out more about me and my beloved company.
